Sjporr Challenge Guidelines
Welcome to the 2021 Sjporr Challenge, where competitors will progress through multiple rounds before the winners are awarded. Only one beer and homebrewer will win the title!
Please read all of the guidelines, before signing up for the Sjporr Challenge. This includes Brew Your Best Beer 2021 SJPC Competition, the Terms & Conditions, Shipping Guidelines, Label Guidelines, and YouTube Beer Review Guidelines, Scoring Guidelines and Winner Terms & Conditions.

Brew Your Best Beer – The 2022 SJPC Competition
Brew any style of beer! , but within the 2022 brewing guidelines. (See the 2022 Guidelines for details). Brew your best beer and compete with this same beer for all rounds of the competition.
Past top 6 Place Winners of 2020 will not compete in round 1. This means that participants have a greater chance of moving on to Round 2! Read the full details in the Brew Your Best Beer 2022 SJPC Competition section.

SJPC Terms & Conditions
Please read the Terms and Conditions before registering for the challenge each year. This is important because terms of the challenge may vary from year to year. By registering for the competition you agree to abide by these terms.

SJPC Label Guidelines
No artwork and different ID#’s each round.
The Sjporr Challenge no longer allows beer labels with creative artwork. We know, this was half the fun in the early days. In order to keep judging anonymous, participants need to strictly follow the updated SJPC Label Guidelines. The new guidelines also require a New Unique SJPC ID# for each round of the competition. You will find templates for common label sizes. If you choose to use a different size label, the Label Guidelines show you what information you to include (and what not to include) on each bottle, outer packaging and shipping box. Please read up on how to label your beers.
SJPC Shipping Guidelines
The bottling and shipping guidelines provide important information about how to properly package and ship your beers. Remember, they have to survive transport to the hub and if a few of the beers break, it could put you out of the challenge. There’s a video, so ‘porr’ yourself a beer and get some tips on how to safely ship your competition beers.

YouTube Beer Review Guidelines
As a courtesy to our sponsors, we ask that you include the provided 2019 Intro Video, when reviewing competitors beers and posting videos on YouTube. We also ask that you not post your beer review videos until after the winners of that round are announced. This section includes helpful guidelines to allow participants to quickly search for and find your videos on YouTube. The full Guidelines, Tips and Intro Video download can be found in the YouTube Beer Review Guidelines section.

SJPC Scoring Guidelines
We have further refined the scoring system for clarity and to ensure more consistency of beer scores. The SJPC Scoring Guidelines are designed to help participants understand how beers should be judged and the spirit of the competition. A scale is provided that explains what the Final Score means in terms of the quality of the beer. Download sample scoring forms and guidelines to keep with you as you review participants beers.

SJPC Winners Terms & Conditions
While placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the Sjporr Challenge is a great honor, participants must agree to the SJPC Winner Terms & Conditions listed in this section.
If you would like to form a national competition outside of the United States for the 2021 Sjporr Challenge, first review Section B of the Terms & Conditions. You need to start this process by August of 2020, in order to be considered. Please email Sjporr to start the process.
If you have any questions, please email the United States Coordinator.
Get ready to enjoy the fruits of someone else’s labor. Cheers!
